Santa Fe Depot

From Abandoned Building to High-End Office Space

The rehabilitation of the former Santa Fe Train Depot turned into a unique and creative setting for new office space in downtown Tulsa. The design team performed a gut renovation which transformed the once abandoned building into a high-end corporate office while paying tribute to the building's industrial origins.

The team started the gut renovation in 2016. Utilizing the original structure, the design team added a ground-floor patio and a covered second-floor patio for occupants to enjoy. The offices were strategically placed where the Train Depot. housed ticketing and passengers. Exposed brick and mosaics pay tribute to the building's industrial origins while skylights and glass walls contribute to the high-end corporate vision.

The more than 100-year-old building now serves as the headquarters for an industrial development firm, IDO. The project functioned as a trailblazer leading the development movement in the Santa Fe District of downtown Tulsa.
