New Canaan Town Hall

Creating Modern Spaces Amid History

Giving a new, expanded life to a 104-year-old town hall was the goal of the Town of New Canaan when they selected KSQ to provide historic preservation and design services for the renovation and expansion of its historic Town Hall. In addition to being more customer-service oriented, the new building will provide greater security for the Town Hall staff while also complimenting the historic architecture of New Canaan’s Downtown district. The existing Colonial Revival façade is being rehabilitated in concert with the guiding design and construction principles consistent with historic preservation, while a new, modern two-story building addition will include approximately 22,000 sf and meet accessibility and technology standards fit for a 21st-century workplace.
